Description
In George A. Romero’s 1968 film Night of the Living Dead, seven people are trapped in a farmhouse, besieged by reanimated corpses.
The film is noted for its groundbreaking portrayal of zombies and its social commentary on 1960s America. We all pretty much know that, and I think it’s one of the greatest films ever made for a number of reasons I won’t bother you here with.
But what’s the story on these two publicity photos? In 2008 I attended the 40th anniversary celebration of the film in Southern California, but I can’t recall if it was a Fangoria event or a Monsterpalooza event. Either way, the show had a special booth for the Night of the Living Dead cast and their 40th anniversary of the film, and instead of asking for the actors to sign their pictures, I asked they write their favorite line from the movie. Boom!
